Bajaj Pulsar NS160 to be launched in India soon

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160, which is already selling in some markets such as Turkey and Nepal, doesn’t doesn’t sell in India. But the bike was recently caught testing in Pune and its spyshots have surfaced. Baja has its manufacturing facility in Pune. According to the website CarandBike, Bajaj has confirmed them that they will launch the bike in India soon.

The NS160 which was reportedly spotted testing looked like the NS200, which is sold in India. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 retains almost all the design cues, same body panels. The instrumentation is also similar.

The new bike borrows the clip-on handlebars, underbelly exhaust and the LED tail lamp from the NS200. The features that appear different on the NS160 are the tyres that have gone slimmer in looks and the disc brake upfront with a smaller diameter.

Unlike in the NS200, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 also comes with a kick-starter. The oil-cooled single-cylinder engine displaces 160.3 cc and delivers 15.3 bhp of peak power and churns out 14.6 Nm of max torque. The transmission is 5-speed unit.

The Pulsar NS160 will reportedly be priced at Rs 82,400 (ex-showroom, Pune), but some dealers say that this is pre-GST price and it might be raised after July 1.
