Benelli, the Chinese-owned Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has recently launched Imperiale 400. This is the fifth Benelli motorcycle to be launched in India this year after Benelli TRK 502 and 502X, Leoncino 500, and Leoncino 250. In the Indian market, Benelli Imperiale 400 is up against Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Jawa. Benelli Imperiale 400 

Benelli Imperiale 400 is powered by a 374 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine that generates a maximum power of 21 bhp @ 5,500 rpm and max torque of 29 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. 

Benelli Imperiale 400 measures 2170 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 1440 mm, making it the longest motorcycle in this group.  

Other key measurements of Imperiale 400 include pilot seat height of 780 mm, width excluding mirrors – 820 mm, unladen weight – 205 kg and usable tank volume – 12 litres. 

Benelli Imperiale 400 utilises double-cradle frame. Imperiale 400 has 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and pre-load adjustable suspension at the rear. Braking duties are performed by 300 mm single disc (ABS) and 240 mm single disc (ABS) at the front and rear, respectively. 

Benelli Imperiale 400 is being offered in three colours – Black, Maroon, and Silver. 

Benelli Imperiale 400 costs Rs 1.69 lakh for Silver colour. However, the Red and Black colour option of Benelli Imperiale 400 are priced at Rs 1.79 lakhs. 

Royal Enfield Bullet 350  

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, twin-spark, air-cooled, 346 cc engine that belts out 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.  

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 uses telescopic front forks and twin-shock absorbers with a five-step adjustable preload at the rear. 

It comes equipped with 19-inch tyres at the front and rear.  

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is equipped with a 280 mm disc at the front and 153 mm drum at the rear. It also gets single-channel ABS. 

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 KS is priced at Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom) while Bullet 350 ES is available for Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Jawa Bullet 

Jawa Bullet comes equipped with a BSVI-compliant single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 293 cc engine that belts out 27 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. 

Jawa gets telescopic hydraulic front forks and gas canister-twin shock hydraulic at the rear.

Jawa sports an 18-inch tyre at the front and 17-inch tyre at the rear. 

It comes with a 280 mm disc at the front and 153 mm drum at the rear. Jawa is further available in single-channel as well as dual-channel variants.

Jawa’s single-channel variant costs Rs 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom) while the dual-channel ABS trim is available for Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom).
