Partnering with Hyderabad-based Mahavir group Benelli India has introduced new bike in the country with the TRK 502 which is priced at Rs 5 lakh for the standard version, while the off-road spec TRK 502 X is priced at Rs 5.40 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). It is expected to take on the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, SWM SueprDual T and also the Kawasaki Versys X-300. Bookings for the bike have already started and a cashback is being offered to buyers. Customers are getting Rs 10,000 voucher for Benelli accessories. Deliveries of the motorcycles will start in two months.

The TRK 502 comes with a 500-cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine tuned for 47 bhp at 8500 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed transmission. The engine is mated with 6-speed gearbox and uses an actuated clutch to reduce lever effort.
The body of TRK 502 dual headlamp setup with LED indicators and taillight. Suspension is through USD fork in the front. There is an adjustable monoshock at the rear while braking is through 320mm twin disc in the front and 260 mm single disc at the rear.
Benelli TRK 502 has attractive 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends shod with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres, the Benelli TRK 502X is more off-road centric and rides on 19-inch (110/80) and 17-inch (150/70) spoke wheels.
The motorcycle has been equipped with a massive 20-litre fuel tank. The bike is offered in three colour options - red, white and graphite grey.

There are large windscreen and knuckle guards on the handlebar of the Benelli TRK 502. Benelli has also offered that the ABS is switchable. However, there is confirmation whether it is only for the rear brake or both.
