BMW Motorrad unveiled the G 310 R long time back at the 2015 EICMA Moto Show, and the entry-level naked bike is all set to hit the Indian roads soon. The naked roadster is likely to be launched in the coming weeks. BMW will also launch the G 310 GS adventure tourer along with the G 310 R, according to sources.

The brand also announced that the bikes will be manufactured in Chennai, which means the price tag is set to be competitive for Indian buyers.

The G 310 R is expected to be launched at approximately Rs 3 lakh, while the G 310 GS is reportedly priced at Rs 3.5 lakh.

Surprisingly, TVS Apache RR 310, which shares the engine and basic features with BMW is priced Rs 1 lakh lesser than the G 310 R.

The BMW G 310 R, which is designed as a naked streetfighter looks extremely similar to BMW’s superbike S 1000 R. The wide handlebars and centre placed foot-pegs makes it a comfortable ride for the rider.

Whereas the G 310 GS, is an adventure bike that powers a long-travel suspension and a massive 19-inch wheels. The bike’s design is based a lot on other high-end GS motorcycles with triangular-shaped headlamp and a muscular fuel tank with radiator shrouds.

Both the new entrants are powered by a 313cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine and features a 6-speed gearbox.

The pricing is bit on a higher end when compared to the likes of KTM, TVS, Bajaj but the Munich-based two-wheeler maker has its own brand value and is known worldwide for generating top-notch products.
