Piaggio India has recently launched the BS6 compliant versions of the Aprilia and Vespa scooters in the country. It is to be noted that BS-VI (BS6) emission regulations are set to kick in India from April 1, 2020. Coming back to the Aprilia and Vespa, the scooters are now equipped with a high performance 160 cc single-cylinder engine that is now fuel-injected in order to meet the upcoming stringent emission norms.
It is worth mentioning here that with the new engine, the Aprilia SR 150 has been renamed as the Aprilia SR 160. The price for the Aprilia SR 150 in India has been set at Rs 85,431 (ex-showroom Pune). On the other hand, the BS6 Vespa 150 SXL costs Rs 91,492 (ex-showroom Pune).
