Suzuki Gixxer 155 cc was launched in India on Friday for an introductory price of Rs 1,00,212 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle gets a completely revamped design, making it look even more aggressive than before.
The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer is inspired by the European design trend and sports low crouched silhouette. Talking about the features of the Gixxer, the motorcycle comes equipped with the LED headlamp and taillamp, new digital instrument cluster, dual exhaust outlet, split seat and rear tyre hugger.
The new Gixxer 155 continues to get the same 155 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled and fuel-injected engine which churns out 13.9 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear are installed for the suspension duties. The motorcycle gets 17-inch tyres and a disc each at the front and rear. Also available is a single-channel ABS.
It is to be noted that the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer is about Rs 12,000 more expensive than the outgoing model. The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer is available in three colour options i.e. Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver and Metallic Triton Blue.

In the Indian market, the new Gixxer 155 is up against TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda CB Hornet 160R and the Yamaha FZ-S V3.0.
In May this year, Suzuki Gixxer SF and 250 2019 Gixxer SF 150 were launched for starting prices of Rs 1,70,655 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 1,09,870 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
