Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has finally confirmed the launch of all-new bike CB300R in the Indian market. The Honda CB300R once launched will be lightest motorcycle in the category and the company has indicated that pricing of the upcoming quarter litre engine will not be more than Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bookings for Honda CB300R are now open at Rs 5,000 at the company’s showroom.

Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Driven by the need to discover and challenge new frontiers, the CB300R is for true enthusiasts willing to try new ideas and experiences’’.

Honda CB300R comes with 286cc single cylinder 4-valve liquid cooled engine which can produce 37bhp of power and 27.5 Nm of torque which perfectly fits as per the Indian roads. It also has quite small turning radius in the segment and the engine of Honda CB300R is mated with a six-speed gearbox. It can achieve 200 metres distance in just 9.2 seconds.

The CB300R comes with an IMU which works full-time in sync with ABS. It also has a full LED headlamps units. On braking front, Honda CB300R has a pair of 41mm upside down forks in the front and a 296mm petal disc with a radially mounted 4-piston caliper in the rear.

Honda CB300R once launched will be in direct competition with KTM Duke 250, BMW G 310 R and Bajaj Dominar 400. It will be interesting to see how Honda CB300R shakes things up in the 300cc bike segment once launched.
