The BS6 version of Kawasaki Z650 was launched in India on Friday. The price range for 2020 Kawasaki Z650 BS6 in India has been set between Rs 6.25 lakh and Rs 6.50 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India). It is to be noted that the BS6 version of Kawasaki Z650 is expensive by Rs 56,000 than the BS4 version that retailed at Rs 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom India).

Kawasaki Z650 will start to arrive in India by January 2020. The 2020 Kawasaki Z650 BS6 comes equipped with the upgraded features while continuing to use the same engine. This is the second BS6 compliance motorcycle from the company after the Z900.

The 2020 Kawasaki Z650 gets a 4.3-inch TFT screen for the instrument console with smartphone Bluetooth connectivity via the Rideology mobile app. According to a report of NDTV’s carandbike, the motorcycle’s middleweight street naked now rides on Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres replacing the Sportmax D214 tyres. It is worth mentioning here that the 2020 Kawasaki Z650 gets the same Sugomi styling as seen on the current model but gets new LED headlamps.

The 2020 Kawasaki Z650 includes the 649 cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 67 bhp at 6700 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The updated motorcycle has a kerb weight of 186 kg. It will come in Metallic Spark Black colour. On the competition front, the 2020 Kawasaki Z650 will be up against CFMoto 650 NK, Benelli TNT 600i, and the Leoncino 500.

In other news, the automaker has silently discontinued the BS4 version of the Ninja 300. Well, the discontinuation is temporary as the motorcycle will be rolled out with BS6 emission.
