Revolt Intellicorp has recently rolled out the first unit of the RV 400 from its Manesar facility. The manufacturing facility in Manesar boasts a production capacity of 1,20,000 vehicles commissioned for Phase 1. It is to be noted that RV 400 is India’s first electric motorcycle to be equipped with artificial intelligence (AI). Well, the prices of Revolt RV 400 will be announced on August 28, 2019.
It is worth mentioning here that Revolt RV 400 was first unveiled in June 2019 and the company had worked on it for two years. The key features Revolt RV 400 include remote start, real-time information and diagnostics, OTA update support and many more. Revolt Intellicorp on July 25, 2019 commenced the pre-booking of RV 400 with the token amount of Rs 1,000 on Amazon. Revolt Intellicorp has received over 2,500 pre-bookings for the RV 400 in the 15 days since it began taking bookings.
After its launch on August 28, the Revolt RV 400 will be initially available in seven metro cities, including Delhi-NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chennai.
The Revolt RV 400 is expected to be available in two colours i.e. Rebel Red and Cosmic Black. According to a report of NNDTV’s carandbike, the Revolt RV 400 is an electric bike with an embedded 4G LTE SIM which allows the bike to be connected to the Internet. It is capable of downloading updates, start remotely and have a bike locator feature. The bike's Android and iOS apps are expected to hit the Google Play and Apple App Store respectively. The RV 400 has USD forks at the front and a mono-shock suspension at the back. It also gets 8-spoke alloy wheels. The rear brake has been relocated to the handlebar just like a scooter.
The RV 400 has a fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps and Bluetooth connectivity. This bike has a top speed of 85kmph and gives you the option to choose between four artificial exhaust notes. The Revolt RV 400 has a range of 156km and can be charged by using a 15A socket. It also supports portable charging which allows you to remove the battery and charge it in your home.
The motorcycle will have three different riding modes - Eco, City and Sport. In City mode, the range is expected to be around 80-90 km on a single charge, and Sport mode with full performance is expected to offer between 50-60 km of range.
It is worth mentioning here that the Revolt RV 400 is the first product from electric vehicle start-up Gurugram-based Revolt Intellicorp, founded by Rahul Sharma, former co-founder of Micromax Informatics.
