In August 2019, Suzuki Motorcycle India had introduced the new Gixxer 250 in the country. On the other hand, 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 was launched in India on April 4, 2019. The two motorcycles are in a direct competition with each other in the Indian market. Therefore, News Nation brings to you the comparison between Suzuki Gixxer 250 and 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 on the basis of their specifications, features and price. 

Suzuki Gixxer 250 

The price of Suzuki Gixxer 250 in India has been set at Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

Suzuki Gixxer 250 looks macho with the sculpted fuel tank. Whereas, the LED headlamp adds a fresh look to the design, while the split seats, and LED taillight add a touch of sportiness to the motorcycle. 

The motorcycle further comes equipped with the Gixxer's distinctive dual muffler exhaust as well as brushed finish alloy wheels and a new all-digital instrument console carried over from the Gixxer SF 250. 

Suzuki Gixxer 250 is powered by the 249 cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC engine with fuel injection that churns out 26 bhp at 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. 

The engine also comes equipped with the Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) technology that works efficiently to reduce engine temperatures and negating the need of liquid-cooling. 

The motorcycle uses telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. On the other hand, the braking job is done by disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS as standard. 

Suzuki Gixxer 250 gets a ground clearance of 165 mm while the seat height is 800 mm and it weighs 156 kg. 

Suzuki Gixxer 250 is available in Metallic Matte Platinum Silver or Metallic Matte Black and a Metallic Matte Black colour schemes. 

The accessories on the Gixxer 250 include a skid plate, DC charging socket, knuckle cover, saddle bags, tank pad, knee grip and a bumper bracket. 

2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 

The price of 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 in India has been set at Rs 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

As compared to the old Bajaj Dominar 400, the updated gets revised internals for the LED headlamp, and the exhaust has been replaced with the double barrel unit that also makes for a throaty more with heavy bass. 

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 gets a new LCD split screen console with the tank-based secondary screen packing more information including gear position, trip information and more. 

There are bungee straps tucked under the pillion seat that helps secure gear over long distances, and there are new tankpad decals. 

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar is powered by a 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 39 bhp at the 35 Nm torque. 

The bike gets new 43 mm USD front forks replacing the telescopic units that add to the beefy appearance of the motorcycle, while adding to the improved ride quality. 

The braking apparatus comes in the form of a 320mm single disc with a radial calliper at the front and a 230mm disc with a single-pot calliper at the rear. 

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 is available in two new colours - Aurora Green and Vine Black and is offered only in the ABS variant.
