Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki has finally launched the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition. The motorcycle comes with the new racing blue paint scheme with Team Suzuki Ecstar decals and pinstripes on the wheel. The price of Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition has been set at Rs 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is worth mentioning here that the price remains the same as the standard colour options.

Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, "Following the success of Gixxer SF 250, we are thrilled to launch the MotoGP edition of Gixxer SF 250 that asserts Suzuki's racing DNA. The Suzuki Racing Blue colour has always been the identity of Suzuki's spirit and passion for racing. The contemporary styling coupled with sporty design and high performance engine powered with innovative SOCS technology, further enhances the racing character of the motorcycle. We are sure that the motorcycle will be received with the same enthusiasm as the other variants of GIXXER brand."

The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 MotoGP Edition gets all-new styling, with sharp bodywork. The newly designed LED headlamp, clip-on handlebars, split seat, brushed finished alloy wheels and LED tail-lamp give the motorcycle a premium look.

It is powered by an all-new 249 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine that churns out 26 bhp at 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Also, the new Suzuki Gixxer 250 has Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) which is said to help cool the engine even after prolonged use at high revs.

Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking power comes from disc brakes at either end. The Gixxer SF 250 gets dual-channel ABS as standard.

Last month, Suzuki India launched the 155 cc Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition at the price of Rs 110,605 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
