TVS Motor Company has announced an all-new Matte Silver paint option for its NTORQ 125. Though TVS NTORQ 125 faces a tough competition from the Aprila Storm 125 and Hero Maestro Edge 125, it became the most awarded scooter in India for Financial Year 2018-19. Since the launch, more than two lakh units of the TVS NTORQ 125 has been sold. Here’s the comparison between NTORQ 125, Aprila Storm 125 and Maestro Edge 125 on the basis of its specifications.

TVS Ntorq 125

TVS Ntorq 125 uses a 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 9.4 hp and 10.5 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.

The scooter is available in both disc and drum variants. It further gets a well-tuned suspension balancing between comfort and agility.

TVS NTORQ 125 is available in Matte Silver paint, Matte Yellow, Matte White, Matte Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey and Metallic Red choices.

TVS NTorq gets features like sporty front cluster, 'T' rear lamp, afterburner style rear vents, batwing styled DRLs, stubby muffler, 12-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, 220 mm roto petal front disc brake, split grab rail and gaming console inspired speedometer.

The Smart Konnect Bluetooth connectivity system allows you to connect your smartphone with the scooter and provide access to navigation, call alert and SMS readout on the instrument console.

TVS Ntorq 125 drum variant is priced at Rs 58,552 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while disc variant costs Rs 59,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Aprila Storm 125

Aprila Storm 125 is powered with the 125cc single-cylinder, three-valve, air-cooled unit that produces 9.5 hp and 9.9Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.

The scooter is equipped with hydraulic telescopic front forks up front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. It also gets a set of new 12-inch black alloy wheels with drum brakes both at the front and back, 150 mm and 140 mm units respectively, which is assisted by a combi braking system (CBS).

The Aprilia Storm comes in two colour options i.e. Matte Red and the Matte Yellow shade. Both colour options are complemented with bold black graphics on the front apron and side panels. The entire head unit is painted in black with the Aprilia logo in contrast white.

The price of Aprilia Storm 125 cc is Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Hero Maestro Edge 125

Hero Maestro Edge 125 has 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which delivers 8.5 hp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a CVT unit.

The scooter rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels.

Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic dampers at the rear.

Braking performance comes from a disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake set-up at the rear.

There are 4 matte finished colour options available on the scooter i.e. Blue, Brown, Grey and Red, along with Panther Black and Fadeless White colour options for the FI version.

The Maestro Edge 125 scooter comes with prices starting at Rs 58,500 for the Drum variant and Rs 60,000 for the Disc version (Ex-showroom, Delhi) which is for the Carb variants. The FI variant costs Rs 62,700 (ex-showroom Delhi).
