2018 Suzuki Swift Sport has been revealed in a picture released by the company ahead of the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017). The hot hatch will make its debut at the event.
The sporty yellow hatch that you can see in the picture is the third from the family of the Suzuki Swift Sport. The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport sports the more angular design of the new Swift, however, it comes with some unique features that give it an aggressive appeal.
With a distinctive pattern, the radiator grille appears bigger, both in length and width. Outside the fog lamp enclosures, there is a honeycomb pattern.
At the front, a black bumper lip spoiler is there, while there are black rocker panels on the sides. The alloy wheels are unique, while the tyres are low-profile. Rear bumper’s lower portion is finished in gloss black.
Inside, the 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport can sport an all-black colour theme, stainless steel sport pedals, leather steering wheel and sport seats with contrast stitching and more.
The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport will reportedly be powered by a new 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, which is an upgraded version of the Suzuki Vitara’s K14C BOOSTERJET unit. The four-cylinder petrol powermill will reportedly churn out 150 PS at 5,500 rpm and 25.0 kgf.m (245.17 Nm) of torque from 1,500-4,000 rpm. However, Suzuki has not released official details on specifications.
The expected transmission choices are 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The Sport variant is likely to have a beefier exhaust note delivered through the dual tail pipes.
The hatch will make its official debut on September 12, 2017 and will hit sales globally later this year.
