Audi A6 was finally launched in India on Thursday for an introductory price of Rs 54.20 lakh (ex-showroom). It is to be noted that the eighth-generation Audi A6 comes with several fresh features, revamped styling, improved interior, and a BS6-compliant engine.
Visually, the Audi A6 gets sharper looks with evolutionary design language. It features a single-frame grille and matrix LED headlights. The rear gets a three-dimensional shape. The new A6 gets taut roofline and short overhangs. Also, there are new dual-tone alloy wheels on offer on the 2020 A6 while the rear sports new LED taillights that are connected by a chrome strip.
Inside, the cabin comes equipped with the features like leatherette seats, twin touch infotainment screen, virtual cockpit instrument cluster, four-zone auto climate control, panoramic sunroof, lighting package, and the new MMI infotainment interface. The cabin is covered in leather and piano black trims, premium wood inserts along with aluminium accents.
On the safety features front, the mid-size luxury sedan comes with eight airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors as well as a 360-degree camera. Also, there is an electronic stability program, traction control, and electric parking with auto-hold function.

Under the hood, Audi A6 draws the power from BS6-compliant 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine which churns out 240 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gear. On the competition front in India, Audi A6 is up against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Volvo S90 and the Jaguar XF.
