Recently, it was reported that Bajaj Dominar 400 has received a price hike of around Rs 6,000. In a latest move, Bajaj Auto has increased the prices across most motorcycles in its line-up by Rs 2,950. It is to be noted that the Bajaj’s rival Hero MotoCorp announced a one per cent hike in prices across its two-wheeler line-up.
According to a report by NDTV’s carandbike, Bajaj Pulsar line-up, Discover range and even the entry-level Platina motorcycles has received a price hike of Rs 2,950. It is worth mentioning here that the prices of Avenger 220 series remain unaffected.
While Bajaj Platina 100 KS and Bajaj Platina 110 has received the the smallest hike of Rs 147, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon received the highest price hike of Rs 2950 and it now starts at Rs 71,200.
Bajaj V15 Power Up gets a price hike of Rs 1113 and now costs Rs 66,739, while the Platina 100 ES gets price hike of Rs 1024 and now costs at Rs 48,429 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). However, the price of recently-launched Bajaj Platina H Gear remains unchanged.
In other new, Hero Splendor has triumphed Honda Activa to become India's largest selling two-wheeler in June 2019. Interestingly, there has been a constant tussle between Hero Splendor and Honda Activa to acquire the best-selling two-wheeler crown in the country.
According to a report by CarAndBike, Hero MotoCorp sold 2,42,743 units of Splendor in June 2019 followed by Honda Activa with 2,36,739 units. At the third rank was Hero HF Deluxe with 1,93,194 units disposed of in June 2019. Other products in the top five included Honda CB Shine with 84,871 units and Bajaj Pulsar with 83,008 units.
