The 7th generation of 2019 BMW 3 series is all geared up for the launch in the Indian market in mid-2019. It was unveiled in October at the Paris Motor Show but caught in India for the very first-time undergoing ARAI testing and homologation. The BMW 3 series sedan is expected to be made available in India in two variants, 320d diesel and 330i petrol.

The all new BMW 3 Series sedan 3 is bigger, lighter, and better looking than its predecessor. Reports also suggests that the new sedan uses BMW’s CLAR platform, making it 55 kgs lighter than its earlier version.

Talking about its appearance, the new 3 Series sedan to get new set of headlamps with a kink in the bottom part. Also, it will sport the L-shaped tail lamps which will give stylish and sporty look.

On the inside, The quality of materials and design makes it look quite sporty it will also come up with a 10.25-inch touch screenwith a user interfaceintegrated with BMW Assistant and BMW’s 7.0 Operating System.

Several autonomous features in the BMW 3 Series have been inherited from its earlier variant.

BMW 3 Series sedan is available in five variants in the international market and the diesel variant is expected to launch in the Indian market which will boast a 2.0-litre four-pot turbo-diesel with 188 bhp in the 320d, 180 bhp in 320i, 255 bhp in 330i, 262 bhp in the top diesel model 330d. The engine will be mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW 3 Series sedan once launched will be in direct competition with  Audi A4, Jaguar XE, updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class apart from new-gen Volvo S60. 

The price is yet to revealed for the new sedan but it is expected to be a little higher than its predecessor
