Datsun, the sister brand of Japanese auto maker Nissan on Thursday rolled out hatchback redi-GO with added safety features, including airbag and rear parking assist sensor, priced between Rs 2.79 lakh and Rs 4.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
The model now also comes with high speed warning and seat belt reminder across its variants. The new features are in addition to anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD), that were introduced in the model recently.
“Datsun redi-GO now comes with various added safety features as standard which is yet another testimony of our focus to bring in progressive mobility backed by safety, technology, style and convenience,” Nissan India Director Sales and Commercial Hardeep Singh Brar said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the new versions of Datsun Go and Go+ were launched in October last year. Thomas Kuehl, President of Nissan India operations said, “The new Datsun GO and Datsun GO+ is conceptualised for the new-age Indian consumer, the millennials who are mature, smart goers, family oriented with a progressive and evolved mindset. Powered by Japanese engineering, Datsun GO and GO+ are equipped with fabulous new features and upgrades for a more comfortable, safe and stylish driving experience’’.
The deliveries of these stylish and bold Datsun Go and Datsun Go+, which come with an array of 28 features, including dual-front airbags, anti-lock braking system etc and over 100 unique upgrades, commenced from Wednesday from all Nissan and Datsun dealerships across the country, the official said.
The latest redi-GO range is powered by the 0.8L and 1.0L three-cylinder engine.
