Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which has announced pre-bookings of its brand-new Jeep Compass SUV on June 19 has crossed 10,000 mark in bookings.
FCA India in a statement confirmed that it has received 92,000 enquiries so far, since its launch on July 31.
FCA India President said, "The Made in India Jeep Compass has gained remarkable traction in the market... We are working with our plant to deliver the product to customers in the least possible time’’.
The delivery of Compass began on August 6 and the company is increasing production at its Ranjangaon plant with two shifts working six day a week.
Jeep Compass SUV was launched at starting from Rs 14.95 lakh – Rs. 20.65 lakh(ex-showroom Delhi).
The SUV is available in three variants namely – Sports, Longitude and Limited. The 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine with six-speed manual or 7-speed automatic gearbox. The top model comes with 2.0 litre Multijet Turbo Diesel engine 4x4 variant with 6-speed manual gearbox and 6 airbags.
Currently, Jeep Compass SUV is available on 50 retail showrooms in 47 cities. The company is looking to expand its sales network to 60 outlets by the end of the year.
