Honda City BS6 Petrol: All You Need To Know

Honda Cars India has recently launched the City with a BS6-compliant engine. It is to be noted that only the petrol variant of Honda City has been upgraded to the BS6 level and not the diesel trim. Interestingly, Honda City is one of the most popular models of the automaker in India and rivals against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, and Skoda Rapid.

Honda City has always been known for its efficient engine and premium features. According to a report of India Today, Honda City comes equipped with all the high-tech featured and specifications. Honda City BS6 is available in SV, V, VX and ZX variants.

As far as the features are concerned, on the front, Honda City BS6 petrol sports a honeycomb grille. It further comes equipped with DRLs, fog lights, and rear combination lamps. Other exterior features include 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, auto-folding door mirrors and electric sunroof.

On the inside, Honda City BS6 petrol has height-adjustable driver seat, tilt/telescopic steering, auto AC with touch control panel, engine start/stop button, multifunction steering wheel, 3-ring 3D combimeter, and 17.7 cm touchscreen AVN system christened as Digipad 2.0.

On the safety features front, the newly-launched car sports dual airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and front passenger seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert, rear parking sensors, rear windshield defogger and ISOFIX. The top-spec City ZX comes with six airbags.

The new City BS6 petrol is available in five colour options i.e. White Orchid Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Modern Steel Metallic.

Honda City BS6 petrol comes with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, water-cooled, SOHC, i-VTEC engine that belts out 119 PS and 145 Nm of maximum torque. Apart from a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, there is an option for a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with segment-first 7-speed paddle-shift technology.

The price for the Honda City BS6 petrol in India has been set between Rs 9.91 lakh to Rs 14.31 lakh.
