Hyundai Aura, the all-new subcompact sedan that is a new-gen model avatar of Hyundai Xcent, has been launched in India. The price for Hyundai Aura in India has been set between Rs 5.80 Lakh to Rs 9.22 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The newly-launched subcompact sedan from the South Korean makers comes in five variants and is offered six colour options. Hyundai Aura competes against Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze, among others.
Hyundai Aura: Price
Aura comes with BS6 compliant 1.2-litre diesel, 1-litre turbo petrol and 1.2-litre petrol powertrains. The 1.2 petrol versions of Aura have priced between Rs 5.79 lakh and Rs 8.04 lakh while the 1.2 litre diesel trims are tagged between Rs 7.73 lakh and Rs 9.22 lakh. The 1-litre turbo petrol is priced at Rs 8.54 lakh. The petrol AMT trims are priced at Rs 7.05 lakh and Rs 8.04 lakh while the diesel versions with similar technology are tagged at Rs 8.23 lakh and Rs 9.22 lakh. The petrol 1.2-litre (CNG) version is priced at Rs 7.28 lakh.
Hyundai Aura: Engine Details
Hyundai Aura comes equipped with the option of two petrol and one diesel engine, and all are BS6 compliant. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, the 1.2-litre diesel powertrain offers 74 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual and an optional AMT transmission. Hyundai Aura further gets a 1-litre GDI turbo-petrol engine that produces 99 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai Aura: Features
Hyundai Aura is 3,995mm long, stands 1,680 mm wide and 1,520 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2450 mm and boot space stands at 402 litres. On the looks front, Hyundai Aura looks more aerodynamic with features including cascading grille, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, and diamond-cut alloy wheels, among others.
On the inside, the Hyundai Aura gets a light-themed dashboard and a touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include push-button engine start-stop function, Automatic climate control, premium fit-and-finish, among others.

On the safety features front, the sub-compact sedan includes dual airbags, with ABS and EBD, along with seatbelt reminder and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. It further gets rear parking camera with sensors, keyless entry, high-speed alert, speed sensing door lock and impact sensing door unlock function among others.
