Hyundai Motor India on Friday pulled covers off the Aura, a subcompact sedan that replaces the Xcent. However, the car will be launched in India early next year. The price for the upcoming Hyundai Aura is expected to range between Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). After the launch in India, Hyundai Aura will compete against Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze, among others.
According to a report of India Today, on the looks front, Hyundai Aura features like twin boomerang LED DRLs, projector headlamps, projector fog lamps, LED tail lamps with 3D outer lens, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with boomerang spokes, shark fin antenna, and trunk lid garnish.
As compared to Hyundai Xcent, Aura has an increased wheelbase and spacious cabin. The upcoming subcompact sedan further comes with premium features like a 5.3-inch digital multi-information display, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Arkamys sound system, wireless charger, eco coating, and air curtain.
Hyundai Aura comes equipped with three BS6-compliant engine options. There is a 1.0-litre Turbo GDi petrol powertrain that churns out 99bhp and 172 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Also, there is a 1.2-litre turbo that belts out 82bhp and 114 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or AMT.

On the other hand, there is a 1.2-litre EcoTorq diesel engine that produces 74 bhp and 190 Nm. It comes with a 5-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
