Hyundai Motor India has recently unveiled third-generation of the automaker’s Grand i10 model and that is Grand i10 Nios. And now, the automaker has confirmed that the hatchback will come with reworked versions of the engines already present on the current Grand i10. It is worth mentioning that the present Hyundai Grand i10 will be sold alongside the Nios, but with a revision to its prices. Interestingly, the grand i10 Nios name is only for India though, worldwide this car will be called the i10.

The Grand i10 Nios will come equipped with one petrol and one diesel engine option. The 1,197cc 4-cylinder petrol motor will produce 83PS and 116Nm. The petrol motor will be BSVI compliant at launch. On the other hand, the 1,186cc 3-cylinder diesel engine churns out 75PS and 194Nm. However, Hyundai says that this and the diesel motor will be retuned for improved low-end performance and better fuel efficiency. Both engines will be available in two options i.e. with a 5-speed manual gearbox and also with the 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT).

The new Grand i10 Nios comes in a dynamic look. The up front of the grand i10 Nios gets "cascading grille". The rear looks sporty with the low and wide proportioned bumper. On the inside, the cabin of grand i10 Nios is compact yet spacious with the upper C pad appearing to be floating on the lower C pad.

Hyundai has already started bookings for the grand i10 Nios in India across its dealerships in the country. The booking amount for grand i10 Nios has been set at Rs 11,000.

When it launches, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will compete against Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago and Ford Figo in the Indian market. Prices are expected to be Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 over the current Grand i10.
