Hyundai India on Friday announced that its one of the most popular hatchback i20 has crossed 1.3 million sales mark, with 8.5 lakh units sold in the Indian market alone. Hyundai i20 has achieved this mega millstone in just 12 years. The company took to Twitter to share the news and wrote, We are proud to achieve yet another exciting milestone. Hyundai's Super Performer and Best Seller i20 crosses the 1.3 Million mark in 10 years. Thank you India for all the love and support.’’.
The first generation of Hyundai i20 was brought down in the year 2008, second generation was introduced in 2013, An update this was unveiled in the year 2018 for the Indian market at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The main rival of Hyundai i20 is Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and Toyota Etios.

On specs front, Hyundai i20 comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine which can produce a power of 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque while the diesel engine churns out a maximum of 90 bhp of power and 220 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and CVT option as well while diesel engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.

It has set new benchmarks in the Premium Compact segment and continues to dominate with its world class appeal, performance and looks.”
The company claims the mileage of Hyundai i20 petrol variant is 19.8 kmpl and 22.5 kmpl on the diesel models. The hatchback also has smart key and engine start/stop option, Steering Adaptive Parking Guidelines, rear parcel tray, USB charger, door armrest, iblue remote app, reverse cark parking sensors and six airbags system.
The price range of Hyundai i20 starts from 5.43 lakh to Rs 9.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
