Hyundai Set To Export Venue To Latin America, Africa, Know More Hyundai Motor India on Saturday said it is gearing up to export its compact SUV Venue to various markets including Africa and Latin America. The left hand drive (LHD) version of Venue is under development and is planned to be exported to the Gulf, Africa and Latin Am
erica, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a statement. The company, which expects bookings for the model to cross 1 lakh mark in the current year, is all set to ship out Venue to the South African market.
“A major shipment of 1,400 units will be exported to South Africa from Chennai Port in December,” Hyundai Motor said. The company is already exporting the SUV to Nepal, Bhutan, Mauritius and Seychelles, it added.
“Venue has become customers’ first choice in India and global markets. Launched in May 2019, the model has penned a new success story, registering over 90,000 bookings in the country,” HMIL MD and CEO S S Kim said.
The company will continue the momentum next year as well with new product launches, he added. Apart from this, Hyundai India will launch its upcoming sedan Aura complied with BS VI standard in both petrol and diesel engines.
The new powertrains offer low vibrations, superior performance and high fuel efficiency offering cleaner emissions and efficient performance, the company said in a statement. Recently, Hyundai Motors Indian launched the updated i20 Active at the starting price of Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
It is to be noted that the 2019 Hyundai i20 Active, which is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, comes in three variants - S, SX, and the SX dual-tone.
Visually, the 2019 Hyundai i20 Active continues to sport the same design language and comes loaded on the feature front complete with projector lens headlamps with LED DRLs and cornering lamps, fog lamps, LED taillights, shark-fin antenna, rugged plastic body cladding and diamond-cut alloy wheels on the top variants.
