Hyundai Venue, which was launched in India in May 2019 at a price of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India), will soon get the BS6 compliant engine. Yes, you read it right. However, Hyundai India will only launch the BS6 compliant version of Venue diesel only. According to a report of NDTV’s carandbike, Hyundai Venue diesel BS6 will receive the new 1.5-litre diesel engine at Rs 8.09 lakh for the base E variant, going up to Rs 11.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) for the range-topping SX (O) Dual Tone. Meanwhile, the dealers have started accepting bookings for Hyundai Venue 1.5 Diesel BS6 at a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Hyundai Venue 1.5 Diesel BS6: Engine Details
Hyundai Venue diesel BS6 will get the new 1.5-litre diesel engine. It is to be noted that the 1.5-litre diesel engine will replace the BS4 compliant 1.4-litre CRDi motor that is currently available on the subcompact SUV.
The engine of Hyundai Venue diesel BS6 misses out on VGT tech on the Hyundai Venue and is a detuned version compared to the one found on the Seltos, reported NDTV’s carandbike. It is worth mentioning here that Kia Seltos 1.5 diesel engine churns out 113 bhp at 4000 rpm and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1500-2750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
Hyundai Venue 1.5 Diesel BS6: Features
There will be minor changes as for the features and looks are concerned. Talking about the dimensions, the length and width of Hyundai Venue are 3,995 mm and 1,770 mm respectively. Other features include dark chrome front grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, projector fog lamps, LED tail lamps and diamond-cut alloy wheels. As far as the safety features are concerned, the Venue offers six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with reverse camera, ESC, Hill Launch Assist and more.
Importantly, Hyundai Venue BS6 petrol has already received two new variants. This includes the SX (O) Dual Tone and SX+ Dual Tone. The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor generates 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a dual-clutch transmission while a six-speed manual is also on offer. It comes in four trims - E, S, SX and SX(O).

The Venue is also available in the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol (gasoline motor). It churns out 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque, which is paired with only a 5-speed manual transmission.
