Kia Motor India has unveiled the much-anticipated Seltos in the country. Scheduled to be launched in India in the second half of 2019, the price of Seltos is expected to be between Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). On the competition front, the Kia Seltos will be up against Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Harrier and MG Hector in the Indian market.
According to the South Korean car-maker, Kia Seltos will come with BS VI compliant powertrain. The compact SUV will come with an option of 1.4 litre Turbo GDI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. It will also come with multiple automatic transmission options like IVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed AT and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The compact SUV will be available in normal, eco and sports drive modes.
Coming on the features front, the mid-size SUV will have the iconic tiger-nose grille with full LED headlamps on the front. It will also come with vertically housed LED fog lamps. On the rear, the car will be equipped with LED taillights and dual exhaust pipes. Along with 17-inch five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, the compact SUV will come with roof rails and shark fin antenna.
Inside the cabin, the new Kia Seltos will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen audio video navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The compact SUV will also get features like 8-inch HUD (Heads Up Display), blind-spot view monitor, EPS (Electronic Power Steering), eco coating, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and push-button start/stop.
On the safety features front, the car will carry multiple airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and BA (Brake Assist), reverse parking sensors and camera, the compact SUV also gets VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TCS (Traction Control System) and HAC (Hill-start Assist Control). There will be a 360-degree camera as well.
