The new Furio 12 tonne has been priced at Rs 17.45 lakh and Furio 14 tonne at Rs 18.10 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Pune). The new Furio range of intermediate trucks has been designed by Pininfarina, a Mahindra-owned Italian design house.
Earlier, Mahindra had announced to have invested Rs 600 crore in the development of new Furio range of intermediate trucks. The company has been working on the trucks since 2014. It took 500 engineers and close to 180 suppliers to develop the Furio. The trucks were manufactured in Mahindra’s Chakan plant near Pune in Maharashtra.
The company is aiming to take on the rivals Eicher and Tata Motors with its Furio range, positioned just below the Blazo range of trucks. The new Mahindra Furio trucks are designed to offer efficiency and comfort without compromising the performance.
