Indian automaker Mahindra and Mahindra has finally unveiled all new off-road vehicle ‘Roxor’ in United States at a price of $15,000 which is roughly equal to Rs 10 lakh.
Mahindra Roxor will be manufactured at the Auburn Hills manufacturing facility near Detroit, Michigan. The body of the newly-launched SUV is inspired from another Mahindra’s popular automobile ‘Thar’ and is built on ladder-on-frame chassis which is similar to company’s other SUV.
Talking about its interior, it has a steel dashboard unlike the plastic one present in ‘Thar’. It also has heavy-duty winches, light bars, off-road wheels and much more.
Mahindra Roxor has a 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which can produce power of 64hp with a top speed of 72kmph.
The SUV comes with no doors and no roof and will be available in 900 customised colour and wrap options.
Roxor will not be sold through Mahindra authorised dealership but through powersport (adventure sport vehicle) dealers. The vehicle will be in direct competition with Polaris RZR ATV and Kawasaki Mule Pro Series.
However, the official date of the launch is yet to be confirmed.
