Mahindra and Mahindra announced bookings for its upcoming new compact SUV, XUV300 open from January 10. The all-new XUV300 will be launched in the first week of February in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The bookings for Mahindra XUV300 are open at all Mahindra dealerships across India and on official website at Rs 20,000.
Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, M&M Ltd, said, "The XUV300 promises not just the most fun-to-drive performance in the segment, but also first-in-class hi-tech features & best-in-class safety. Its 7 airbags are the highest number offered on any 5-seater, not just in the Compact SUV segment, but also in the mid-size sedan segment’’.
The newly introduced Mahindra XUV300 will be in direct competition with Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon.

Speaking on the features of XUV300, Nakra said, "Segment-first features such as Dual-zone Fully Automatic Climate Control and Front Parking Sensors are thoughtful new features keeping consumer expectations in mind. We are certain that the XUV300 will help us redefine the growing Compact SUV segment in India’’.
The Mahindra XUV300 will be available in three variants, W4, W6 and W8 and will sports features like Dual-zone Fully Automatic Climate Control, Front Parking Sensors. LED tail lamps, all 4 power windows, ABS and Disc Brakes on all four wheels.
It will also come in an optional pack variant – W8 (O) which will boasts additional technology and features. The specification of the SUV is still unknown, but it is expected that XUV300 will sport a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine which can produce 121 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. It is also expected to be mated with 6-speed manual transmission. The company is also planning to launch automatic transmission version later for the higher end variants.
