Mahindra and Mahindra is all set to launch its new compact SUV XUV300 in the Indian market on February 14 and the bookings of the car are already open on the official website and at all Mahindra dealerships across India at Rs 20,000.

Mahindra and Mahindra is all set to launch its new compact SUV XUV300 in the Indian market on February 14 and the bookings of the car are already open on the official website and at all Mahindra dealerships across India at Rs 20,000. The newly announced car will be above Mahindra TUV300 in the lineup of cars by the company. The newly introduced Mahindra XUV300 once launched will be in direct competition with Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon. Mahindra XUV300 is built on the same platform of the SsangYong Tivoli.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, M&M Ltd, said, "The XUV300 promises not just the most fun-to-drive performance in the segment, but also first-in-class hi-tech features & best-in-class safety. Its 7 airbags are the highest number offered on any 5-seater, not just in the Compact SUV segment, but also in the mid-size sedan segment’’.

Mahindra XUV300 will be offered in four models, W4, W6 and W8 and a W8 (O) variants. The base model of the compact SUV comes with dual airbags, ABS, disc brakes on all four wheels, 6 Speed Transmission, LED tail lamps, all 4 Power windows, and more, are standard across all variants.

Apart from this, it also includes first-in-segment dual zone Fully Automatic Climate Control and Front Parking Sensors, dual LED daytime running lamps, and premium interior for the top-end model.

Under the hood, Mahindra XUV300 comes in two engine variants, both petrol and diesel. In the petrol engine variant, it comes with a 1.2-litre which can produce 121 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque while the diesel engine comes with a 1.5-litre engine which produces 300 Nm of torque. The engine of Mahindra XUV300 is mated with a 6-speed transmission.

Mahindra XUV300 will be available in six colour options including Red Rage, Sun Burst Orange, Pearl White, Napoli Black, DSAT Silver and Aquamarine.
