Launched in February this year, Mahindra XUV300 has recently reached the 25,000th unit production milestone in India. It is to be noted that Mahindra XUV300 competes against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport in the Indian market.
Interestingly, the news comes barely a few days after Mahindra & Mahindra launched the AMT variant of the XUV300. The Marelli sourced AMT gearbox on the XUV300 is available in the 1.5-litre diesel option in the W6 and W8 trim variants and are badged with an ‘AutoShift’ logo.
The Mahindra XUV300 is available with two engine options in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8(o). A 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 110 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine, on the other hand, mills out 115 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional AMT.
On the features front, the Mahindra XUV300 comes with dual-zone air-conditioning system, heated ORVMs, a sunroof, ORVM integrated turn signal indicators, an advanced touchscreen infotainment system, dual-tone paint scheme, projector headlamps with LED DRLs in the front, LED tail lamps in the rear, fog lamps, alloy wheels and more.
On the safety front, the Mahindra XUV300 gets hill hold control, electronic safety program (ESP), roll-over mitigation, seat belt reminder for all passengers, a 3-point seatbelt for the middle occupant in the second row, an ISOFIX on the rear seats, 7-airbags including a knee airbag, disc brakes on all four wheels, ABS with EBD and traction control.
