Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Friday said it has reduced prices of e-Verito by up to Rs 80,000 in order to pass the benefit of reduced GST on electric vehicles to customers. Post the GST rate cut announcement, Mahindra e-Verito will cost Rs 10.71 lakh (including FAME benefits, on-road price, Delhi).
“Mahindra will pass on these benefits to customers across our entire product range with immediate affect. This tax cut along with the strong FAME II policy will see the adaption rate in electric vehicles going up drastically with a boost to India’s last and first mile mobility,” Mahindra Electric CEO Mahesh Babu said in a statement.
The company has also slashed price of its electric three-wheeler Treo by up to Rs 20,000. The prices of the model will now start at Rs 2.05 lakh (on-road). Last week, the high-powered GST Council decided to reduce the tax rate on electric vehicles from the existing 12 per cent to 5 per cent effective from August 1. It also slashed the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on EV chargers from 18 per cent to 5 per cent.
Apart from this, Mahindra also slashed prices other cars in its lineup including Mahindra KUV100 NXT, Mahindra Marazzo, Mahindra TUV300, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Bolero Power Plus, Mahindra Thar and Mahindra XUV500.
Mahindra KUV100 NXT (Save up to Rs 77,000)
Mahindra KUV100 NXT is powered by an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol and a 78hp, 1.2-litre diesel engine. The lower K2 and K4 variants of Mahindra KUV100 NXT are currently being offered with a cash discount of Rs 20,000 and 26,000, respectively. Mahindra dealers are also offering the higher-spec K6 and K8 variants with a cash discount of Rs 40,000. This combined with an exchange bonus and free accessories means that you can save up to Rs 77,000 on purchase of a new KUV100 NXT. It rivals against the Ford Freestyle and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
Mahindra Marazzo (Save up to Rs 45,000)
Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Mahindra dealers are currently offering the M6 and M8 variants of the Marazzo with whopping discounts of up to Rs 45,000 and free insurance for the first year. On the other hand, the lower M2 and M4 trims can be purchased with discounts of up to Rs 20,000. Mahindra Marazzo, which is powered by a 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, is available in 7 and 8 seater configurations. Marazzo was launched on September 3, 2018.
Mahindra TUV300 (Save up to Rs 83,000)
Mahindra TUV300 is powered by a 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine that’s mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. This month, the TUV300 can be purchased with discounts up to Rs 83,000. This comes in the form of a cash discount of Rs 63,000 along with a large exchange bonus and free accessories. Mahindra TUV300 was recently given a mid-life refresh.

Mahindra Scorpio (Save up to Rs 75,000)
Mahindra Scorpio has the option of two diesel engines – a 2.5-litre that comes with a 5-speed manual only and a 2.2-litre unit comes mated to a 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearbox. Presently, the Scorpio is being offered with discounts up to Rs 75,000 which include a cash discount, an exchange bonus and free accessories. Notably, the Scorpio has been a consistent seller for the carmaker for a number of years. Due to competitors, sales of the Scorpio have been falling.
Mahindra Bolero Power Plus (Save up to Rs 30,000)
Mahindra Bolero Power Plus, a sub-compact SUV is targeted at customers in suburban and rural areas, is powered by a 71hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. The sub-compact SUV is currently available with a discount of Rs 30,000 including cash discounts and exchange bonuses.
Mahindra Thar (Save up to Rs 19,000)
Mahindra dealers are presently offering the Thar with discounts of up to Rs 19,000. The offer include a cash discount and a corporate discount on the Force Gurkha rival. Interestingly, Mahindra has also introduced a limited-edition Thar 700 model that’s available only in Napoli black or aquamarine blue paint shades.
Mahindra XUV500 (Save up to Rs 40,000)
Mahindra XUV500 comes with two engine options - a 155hp, 2.2-litre diesel and a 140hp, 2.2-litre petrol. All variants of the Mahindra XUV500, except the base W3, are available with discounts of up to Rs 40,000. The offer comes in form of an exchange bonus and free accessories on the SUV. The XUV500 rivals the Tata Harrier, MG Hector and the upcoming Kia Seltos.
