The BS6 compliant version of Maruti Suzuki Eeco was launched in India on Friday. The price for Maruti Suzuki Eeco BS6 in India has been set between Rs 3.81 lakh and Rs 6.84 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). These prices are for the petrol variants only as Maruti Suzuki is yet to release prices for the CNG version. It is to be noted that BS-VI (BS6) emission regulations are set to kick in India from April 1, 2020. Coming back to Maruti Suzuki Eeco, it is the ninth BS6 offering from the automaker.

Introduction of the BS6 in Eeco will further bolster our commitment towards a cleaner environment. A decade since its launch, Eeco continues to attract 84% pre-determined buyers, and has been appreciated for its stylish and spacious design and low cost of maintenance.”

Maruti Suzuki Eeco BS6: Specifications

On the looks front and other features, Maruti Suzuki Eeco remains unchanged. Under the hood, Maruti Suzuki Eeco comes equipped with the BS6 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine that churns out 73 bhp and 101 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is worth mentioning here that there is a CNG variant in the Eeco line-up that delivers a high fuel economy of 21.8 kmpl.

Last year, Eeco wholesales had crossed 1 lakh units for the first time, reflecting growth of 36 per cent over 2018 wholesale volumes. The model, which was launched in January 2010, has already crossed cumulative sales mark of 6.5 lakh units. Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker, has already sold over 3 lakh units of BS6 cars in India.
