Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, the all-new micro-SUV, will be launched on Monday (today) in India. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, which is up against Renault Kwid in the Indian market, is expected to be priced between Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is worth mentioning here that the upcoming micro-SUV of the India’s largest automaker has already started arriving at dealerships.
According to a report of NDTV’s carandbike, the S-Presso will be made available in a total of nine variants divided between Standard, LXi, VXi and VXi+ trims. The upcoming vehicle will be equipped with a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series petrol engine that will produce 67 bhp and 91 Nm of peak torque. Apart from the standard five-speed manual gearbox, there will be an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) as well.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso design is accentuated by the rugged-looking black bumper, body cladding, C-shaped taillights, body-coloured ORVMs, 14-inch wheels with covers and a brushed silver finished grille upfront. However, the tall stance is expected to liberate more room in the cabin.
On the features front, the upcoming vehicle will have body-coloured bumpers, body-coloured ORVMs, keyless entry with central locking, digital speedometer, 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, fabric seats, front power windows and steering-mounted controls.
On the safety features front, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will carry ABS with EBD, driver side airbag, reverse parking sensor, speed alert system and driver and co-driver seat belt reminder will be available across all the variants. However, the passenger-side airbag will be optional.
The S-Presso will be 3,665 mm in length. Its width and height will be 1,520 mm and 1,564 mm, respectively. The wheelbase will measure 2,380 mm.
