Here is a piece of good news for all the car lovers in India. While Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be introduced on August 20, Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be launched on August 21. On the other hand, Kia Motors will launch Seltos on August 22.

Here is a piece of good news for all the car lovers in India. You all must be wondering about discounts, offers etc. then it’s a big NO. If you are planning to buy a car than you will get more options now. Notably, three major automakers will launch new products in India this week. Yes, you read it right. While Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be introduced on August 20, Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be launched on August 21. On the other hand, Kia Motors will launch Seltos on August 22.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the third-generation of Grand i10 model, will be launched in India on August 20. Bookings are already underway at Rs 11,000. The new Grand i10 Nios comes in a dynamic look. The upfront of the grand i10 Nios gets "cascading grille". The rear looks sporty with the low and wide proportioned bumper. On the inside, the cabin of grand i10 Nios is compact yet spacious with the upper C pad appearing to be floating on the lower C pad.

The Grand i10 Nios will come equipped with one petrol and one diesel engine option. The 1,197cc 4-cylinder petrol motor will produce 83PS and 116Nm. The petrol motor will be BSVI compliant at launch. On the other hand, the 1,186cc 3-cylinder diesel engine churns out 75PS and 194Nm. However, Hyundai says that this and the diesel motor will be retuned for improved low-end performance and better fuel efficiency. Both engines will be available in two options i.e. with a 5-speed manual gearbox and also with the 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT).

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be available in six colours - Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Aqua Teal and Alpha Blue. When it launches, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will compete against Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago and Ford Figo in the Indian market. Prices are expected to be Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 over the current Grand i10.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 

India’s largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its much-awaited MPV XL6 in the Indian market on August 21. The new vehicle which will be retailed through premium retail chain Nexa can be booked with an initial payment of Rs 11,000.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 will come with a BS-VI compliant K15 petrol engine along with Smart Hybrid technology. It will be offered across two variant levels with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. The premium MPV will be powered by a BSVI compliant 1.5-litre K15B Smart Hybrid petrol engine that will deliver 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque. It will be offered with manual as well as automatic transmission options.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 will have features like quad chamber LED headlamps, roofrails, alloy wheels, second-row plush captain seats, SmartPlay Studio with smartphone connectivity and cruise control.

It is developed on 5th Generation HEARTECT platform and will come with features such as dual front airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), hill hold assist, electronic stability program) and reverse parking sensors, among others as standard fitment.

Kia Seltos

Kia Motors will launch Seltos on August 22, 2019. It was recently reported that the first product of the Kia Motors have so far bagged over 23,300 bookings.

Kia Seltos will be available in Tech Line and GT Line trims. The Tech Line trim will be divided into five variants -- HT E, HT K, HT K+, HT X and HT X+. The GT Line trim will have three variants -- GT K, GT X and GT X+. The compact SUV will be available in eight monotone and five dual-tone colour options.

Kia Seltos will come with BS VI compliant powertrain. The SUV will come with an option of 1.4 litre Turbo GDI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. It will also come with multiple automatic transmission options like IVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed AT and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The compact SUV will be available in normal, eco and sports drive modes.

The mid-size SUV will have the iconic tiger-nose grille with full LED headlamps on the front and vertically housed LED fog lamps. On the rear, the car will be equipped with LED taillights and dual exhaust pipes.

Along with 17-inch five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, the compact SUV will come with roof rails and shark fin antenna. Inside the cabin, the new Kia Seltos will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen audio video navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The compact SUV will also get features like 8-inch HUD (Heads Up Display), blind-spot view monitor, EPS (Electronic Power Steering), eco coating, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and push-button start/stop.

On the safety features front, the car will carry multiple airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and BA (Brake Assist), reverse parking sensors and camera, the compact SUV also gets VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TCS (Traction Control System) and HAC (Hill-start Assist Control). There will be a 360-degree camera as well.

The price of Kia Seltos is expected to range between Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
