India’s largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will launch its much-awaited MPV XL6 in the Indian market today. It is worth mentioning here that the upcoming vehicle which will be retailed through premium retail chain Nexa and it can be booked with an initial payment of Rs 11,000. The booking for Maruti Suzuki XL6 had commenced on August 9.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 will come with a BS-VI compliant K15 petrol engine along with Smart Hybrid technology. It will be offered across two variant levels with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. The premium MPV will be powered by a BSVI compliant 1.5-litre K15B Smart Hybrid petrol engine that will deliver 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque. It will be offered with manual as well as automatic transmission options.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 will have features like quad chamber LED headlamps, roofrails, alloy wheels, second-row plush captain seats, SmartPlay Studio with smartphone connectivity and cruise control.
The six-seater premium MPV makes use of the fifth-generation Heartect platform. Safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, hill hold assist, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), high-speed warning alert, driver/co-driver seat belt reminder, front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and force limiter, ISOFIX and reverse parking sensors will be standard.
It is being expected that Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be priced Rs 50,000-Rs 60,000 over Ertiga. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is priced in India in the range of Rs 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) currently.
