Italian automobile company Maserati launched its Quattroporte GTS in India at an ex-showroom price of 2.7 crore.

The four-door sports sedan has been updated for the 2018 model year with new features. The stylish beast is being offered in two variants, GranLusso and GranSport.

The revised features of the car offer a newly styled front and back gear and new adaptive LED lights with glare-free high beam assistance.

The GranLusso variant of the Quattroporte comes with additional features such as the front spoiler, chrome bumper inserts and body coloured side skirts. The trim gets GranLusso badges on the wings and latest 20-inch Mercurio alloy wheels with black coloured brake callipers.

As for the GTS GranSport variant, the body receives sculpted edges for the central front, and side intakes, aerodynamic splitters and the centre spoiler and side inserts which come finished in piano black, along with an optional exterior carbon package with carbon finished ORVMs, door handles, pillar cover and front bumper.

The inner cabin of the beast is totally revised with new leather and upholstery and comes with an 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) system that rests in the centre of the dashboard.

The system can be operated through a multi-touch screen, rotary control in the central console, or through voice commands. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with phone mirroring option.

A choice of two audio systems are given by the company, a powerful 900-watt, 10-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system fitted as standard, and another a new generation Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound system featuring 15 speakers and a 1,280-watt amplifier.

The automobile supports 6 airbags, active headsets, Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA) and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) on the safety front.

The Maserati Quattroporte GST is driven by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine whipping out 522 bhp and 710 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels.

The Quattroporte GTS can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 310 km/h.

The automobile competes with Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera.
