MG Hector BS6 Diesel Launched In India: Specifications, Features, Pricing Details Inside

The BS6 compliant diesel variants of MG Hector has been launched in India. The price for SUV in India has been set at Rs 13.88 lakh which goes all the way to Rs 17.72 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India). This means BS6 variants of MG Hector are costlier by Rs 44,000 as compared to the outgoing BS4 diesel versions.

BS6 MG Hector Diesel: Engine Details

BS6 MG Hector draws power from the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre Multijet oil burner. The powertrain churns out 168 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 1,750 to 2,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

BS6 MG Hector Diesel: Features

There is no change in terms of features or equipment that are offered with the MG Hector BS6 diesel. Hence the SUV continues to get the front and rear fog lamps, LED DRLs and tail lamps, dual-tone machined alloys and floating light turn indicators.

There is a 7-inch coloured MID and a 10.4-inch HD touchscreen AVN system. It also features the next-gen iSMART connectivity technology. The SUV further offers a premium cabin equipped with power-adjustable seats, electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and cruise control.

Hector SUV comes in five colours - glaze red, burgundy red, starry black, aurora silver, and candy white. The length and width of MG Hector are 4,655 mm and 1,835 mm respectively. The height and wheelbase of MG Hector are 1,760 mm and 2,750 mm respectively.

It is to be noted that the automaker has recently introduced the Hector BS6 petrol in India for an introductory price of Rs 12.73 lakh. However, the top model of Hector BS6 petrol costs Rs 17.55 lakh. It is worth mentioning here that MG Motor India currently has around 200 outlets in India.
