Morris Garages (MG Motor) marked its debut in the Indian market on a positive note with the launch of Hector SUV in July 2019. MG Hector’s demand is growing day-by-day and it beating slowdown like a boss. MG Motor India retailed whopping 3239 units of the Hector in November 2019. The Indian arm of British carmaker is now planning to launch a six-seat, three-row SUV, based on the Hector SUV by February-March 2020.

According to a report of India.com, the upcoming SUV of MG is likely to be equipped with unique styling elements, new alloy wheel designs, etc. On the styling front, the SUV will get an altered front nose with a reshaped grille, unique LED daytime running lamp design, along with new headlamps and chin. On the back, there will be a new rear bumper design.

The SUV is likely to get a premium-styled cabin. The upcoming SUV will come equipped with a 10.4-inch vertical infotainment screen and a panoramic sunroof. The cabin may also get cruise control, a coloured multi-information display, and keyless entry with push-button start.

The SUV is likely to come equipped with BS6-compliant engines. The SUV is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid setup. The car is expected to be unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. It may cost Rs 12.50 lakh. The car will compete against Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming Tata Gravitas in the Indian market.
