Nissan has officially unveiled all-new Navara-based SUV named ‘Terra’. The new model was recently spotted in some viral images which made rounds over the internet.

Corporate Communications Manager, Tony Mee confirmed the news and said, “Nissan is excited to announce the forthcoming arrival of the new Terra SUV. This new SUV model is scheduled for initial release in China, and selected Asian markets, and is currently not planned for Australia or New Zealand’’.

The body design of Nissan Terra is very similar to Navara with some distinct features. The front bumper of the SUV has more sportier side clusters along with unique grille with chrome ‘V-Motion’ trim, LED daytime running lights and projector lights.

Ashwani Gupta, Senior Vice President of Nissan India said, “Nissan’s frame and LCV business is seeing steady growth, and with our ambitious midterm plan and growing product lineup, we’re confident that this growth will continue. It is an exciting time for Nissan. We have the Nissan Terra arriving soon, the award-winning Nissan Navara is now in 133 markets worldwide, and more drivers are purchasing our LCVs around the world’’.

Talking about its interior, it is also similar to the Navara with a dashboard which has a touchscreen infotainment system.

However, Nissan has not revealed its specification of the car but it is expected that Terra will have a 2.3-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.

The company has also not revealed its plan to launch the car in India but if gets launched in Indian market, it is expected to be in direct competition with Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeaver, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.

As of now, Nissan is all set to launch the car in Chinese market in the coming spring and is planning to introduce it to other market as well soon.
