Volkswagen Group owned Porsche Cayenne Coupe which was unveiled in March 2019 is expected to launch in the month of October this year. However, an official confirmation is yet to be made by the auto manufacturer.
Pavan Shetty, Director Porsche India spoke on the launch of Cayenne Coupe in the Indian market and said, "I think it would be one stunning car to be seen on Indian roads - from a brand perspective and a model perspective, I can't wait. We should have it by the fourth quarter this year’’.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe will once be launched will compete with BMW X6 and the Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe and is expected to be priced around Rs 1.5 to 2 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe comes with a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine which can produce 550 PS of power and 770 Nm of torque and the engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The Coupe can achieve 0-100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 286 kmph.
Recently, the German auto manufacturer Macan facelift and the prices of the car is set between Rs 69.98 lakh to Rs 85.03 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom India).
The Macan was first launched in 2016 globally and the facelift made its debut internationally last year.
The front of Macan facelift gets a slightly smaller, sharper LED headlamps and a new grille layout with larger intakes. In fact, it was the first to get the new 3D-effect LED taillamps and the conjoining LED strip.
Coming to the interior, the updated SUV gets the new 11-inch infotainment screen and the new steering wheel. It also gets a new design for the centre console and semi-digital instrument cluster.
Interestingly, the all-new infotainment comes equipped with online navigation and Connect Plus. Porsche also offers a Connect Plus module, making every vehicle fully connected along with the new “off-road precision†app, that can record and analyse off-road driving experiences in the SUV.
Under the hood, the base Macan facelift comes equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol that churns out 245PS and 370 Nm. The Macan S gets a new 3.0-litre V6 which produces 354PS and 480 Nm.
The luxurious SUV includes Porsche's active stability management system, AWD, height-adjustable air suspension and optional torque-vectoring add to this car's credentials. The S trim also gets updated brakes.
