Renault Kwid facelift is all set to be launched in India on October 1, 2019. The automaker has already released a few teasers of the car and it seems that the Renault Kwid facelift borrowed its styling from the Renault KZ-E electric car that was unveiled in China recently. After the launch, Renault Kwid facelift will compete against Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in India. It is worth mentioning here that Maruti Suzuki S-Presso launch is set on September 30, 2019. 

The heavily updated Renault Kwid will come equipped a new black grille, split lighting with the sleeker indicator lights and DRLs flanking the grille. The Renault Kwid 2019 also gets a wide central airdam and a muscular bumper. At the rear, Renault Kwid facelift also features revised taillights with new vertical reflectors integrated into the bumper.Also, Renault Kwid facelift with several new cosmetic additions including the new greenish-blue shade, matte-finished Grey-Orange element around the headlamps and bumper, Orange ORVMs, and gunmetal grey alloy wheels. 

On the inside, Renault Kwid facelift boasts a new and larger Triber-like 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android auto and a new steering wheel design. On the other hand, the Kwid AMT variant will come with the round gear shifter repositioned to the centre console instead of the dashboard in the pre-facelift model. 

It will further get the new full-digital instrument console like the Triber that houses a speedometer and a tachometer. Additionally, a new seat fabric and tweaked door pad trim will be included in Renault Kwid facelift. Interestingly, the Kwid Climber has now become the top-spec variant of the car. 

Renault Kwid facelift is expected to continue to offer the same 799 cc, three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 54 bhp and 72 Nm of peak torque, along with the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that belts out 67 bhp and 91 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The updated Kwid will continue to be sold with BS4 engines for now. Renault will introduce BS6 compliant engines closer to April 2020 deadline.
