Renault Triber will be launched in India on August 28. The price of Renault Triber in India is expected to range between Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). However, bookings for the upcoming Renault Triber have officially commenced in India from today on payment of a token amount of Rs 11,000. Yes, you read it right. Renault Triber can be booked through the company website or any Renault authorized dealership across India.
According to report of NDTV’s carandbike, Renault Triber is the first sub-4-metre 7-seater from the French carmaker and it comes with several segment-first features, including the first of its kind modular third row, which Renault has named "EasyFix". Renault says that with EasyFix, you can configure the cabin layout in 100 different ways.
Renault Triber production has already commenced at the company's manufacturing facility in Chennai. In the meantime, the automaker said that they have already started dispatches for the car to all its dealerships across India.
Triber is 3,990 mm in length. The height and width of the Triber is 1643 mm and 1,739 mm, respectively. The wheelbase measures 2,636 mm, while the ground clearance is 182 mm. In a 5-seater condition, Renault Triber boasts of a massive 625-litre boot, which drops down to 320 litres in a 6-seater situation and 84 litres in a 7-seater condition. Renault Triber will be powered by a 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre petrol engine that will churn out 72 PS and 96 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
On the features front, Renault Triber comes equipped with projector headlamps, LED DRLs, three-slat chrome grille, eagle beak-shaped taillights, roof rails, 15-inch alloy wheels, digital LED instrument cluster with 3.5-inch LCD screen, 8-inch touchscreen Media Nav Evolution infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and push start/stop button. The car also gets skid plates at the front and rear. It boasts of dual-tone interiors.
On the safety features front, Triber will sport ABS and EBD, four airbags, 3-point seat belts, rear parking sensors and camera, speed alert system and driver and co-driver seat belt reminder.
The all new seven-seater vehicle was unveiled in India on June 19.
