Czech car maker Skoda launched Rapid Monte Carlo in India at a starting price of Rs 10.75 lakh ex-showroom (India). The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo's design has been drawn from ŠKODA's motorsports heritage and the sleek sedan is set to act as a tough competitor to hot selling models like the Honda City, the new Hyundai Verna and the new Maruti Ciaz S.
Here are the technical specifications of the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo
The all-new Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo is equipped with the same engines and gearboxes as the regular Rapid. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 103.5bhp and 153Nm of torque and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Mileage
The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Petrol can deliver an impressive mileage of 15.41kpl when paired to the automatic DSG gearbox and 14.8kpl when mated to the manual gearbox. The diesel variants of the 2017 Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo are powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 108.4bhp and 250Nm of torque.
Engine
The diesel engine comes with either 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Diesel returns a mileage of 21.72kpl when paired to the automatic DSG gearbox and 21.13kpl when mated to the manual gearbox.
Design
The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo's design has minor tweaks compared to the standard Skodain the form of a black grille and spoiler, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and also gets a faux diffuser at the rear. The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo is available in two different colours — Flash Red and Candy White — both of which come with a black roof.
