Tata 45X premium hatchback to debut at Geneva Motor Show 2019.

Tata Motors is all set to debut the production version of the Tata 45X hatchback at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Tata 45X has been snapped being tested on Indian roads several times. The 45X will be the first premium hatchback from Tata Motor's stable and will give a direct competition Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and the Volkswagen Polo.

The company recently unveiled a new video to build interest of the customers in the new car. The car is expected to launch by the festive season.

Tata 45X, the hatchback to come with a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.05-litre diesel engine. The car will also feature large wheel arches and also bolder styling. Initially, the Tata 45X is likely to come with only a manual transmission. The Tata 45X is based on the Advanced Modular Platform (AMP), now named Alpha and features the brand's Impact 2.0 design philosophy. The tail lights also seem to be slim and sweeping.

In a conversation to TOI, Mayank Pareek, President of Tata Motors PV business unit had said, "In the first quarter of next year, we will introduce the Tata H5X, a new SUV based on the Omega platform. In the second half of the year, we will launch the premium hatch 45X based on the Alpha platform. Over the next three years, we will develop an entire suite of products, including sedans and other products that are currently missing from our portfolio.’’

Tata 45X is expected to be launched in Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh price bracket.
