Tata Altroz has finally been unvelied at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday. The much-awaited car of the year was unveiled by Tata himself at the event.

Tata Altroz has finally been unvelied at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday. The much-awaited car of the year was unveiled by  Tata himself at the event. The car is offered in two engine variants, one is production ready petrol or diesel engine while the other is a concept electric version of the Altroz. However, the launch date of the electric variant of Altroz is not yet revealed but it is expected to get released by the end of the year. Once launched, Tata Altroz electric will be the first of  to make it to the Indian market. 

Tata on March 3 also revealed that the Altroz EV will also come with dual ultra slim LED headlamps along with a  digitally inspired lower grill. At the event, the all-new Tata Altroz was seen in blue colour paint which was also present in several teaser and tweet from the company. 

The car also features LED lights on both sides just below the grille which has been given a metalliic paint finish. It also comes with a dual tone 16-inch alloy wheels.Tata Altroz will be company's first car which is based on ALFA which is (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture and also supports multiple powertrains including electric and hybrid.

Recently, government of India announced phase 2 of FAME scheme with which the government will give subsidy of Rs 10,000 to the electric car buyers.

Electric and hybrid car buyers will get a subsidy of up to Rs 2.5 lakh which is quite a laudable move from the government as it ultimately will give more push to the buyers to purchase an electric car. 

At the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, Tata also  unvelied Buzzard SUV  which is given a production name 'H2X Hornbill'. Currently, the petrol and diesel variants of Tata Altroz will be in direct competition with Hyundai Elite i20 and its in-house Tata Nexon.
