Launched in January 2019, Tata Harrier has become a leader of SUV segment. However, it is now facing the stiff competition from recently-launched MG Hector, Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass. Tata Motors has already sold more than 10,000 units of Harrier and the company had recently introduced two dual-tone colour options for the SUV. Moving ahead, the automaker is all set to introduce Harrier in a new all-black paint scheme. Interesting, isn’t it?
According to a report by Autocar India, Tata Harrier all-black edition will be launched in August this year. In the new colour scheme, the SUV is looking very sporty. The ORVM, front skid plate and alloy wheels have been blacked out. The cabin has been given a similar treatment, with black leather upholstery.
It is worth mentioning here that Tata Harrier is currently available in five monotone colour options i.e. Calisto Copper, Thermisto Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White. Well, the dual-tone paint schemes include Calisto Copper with black roof and Orcus White with black roof.
Talking about the dimensions, the length and width of Tata Harrier is 4598 mm and 1,894 mm respectively. The height and wheelbase of Tata Harrier are 1,706 mm and 2,741 mm respectively.
In the Harrier, you will get only one engine option. Harrier comes with a Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that makes 140 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is no automatic transmission option avaialble in the car.
Tata Harrier comes with features including 3D LED tail lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, Xenon HID projector headlamps and dual function LED DRLs with turn indicators. It also has a Floating Island 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Interestingly, there are 9 JBL speakers including four speakers, four tweeters and a subwoofer.
