Volvo Cars are set to launch on Wednesday it’s V90 Cross Country model which is based on the S90 sedan in India at a price of Rs 60 lakh, ex-showroom.
The India-based model will be offered with higher ground clearance and be positioned as a crossover SUV. Which means that it possesses some mild off-road capabilities as well.
V90 Cross Country model is based on S90’s design cues including the Thor’s Hammer LED Headlamps with Daytime Running Lights, vertically positioned LED tail-lamps. The bumpers, however, have been redesigned with skid plates.
V90 Cross will be more spacious from inside and will have a 590-litre boot that can be further expanded.
The V90 will be powered by a 2.0-litre D5 diesel engine from the S90 that will produce about 235 bhp and will be matted to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The V90 will also include 4 types of driving modes Eco, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. There will also be an all-wheel drive system for off-road driving.
