Volvo XC40 appears on official website; to launch by mid-2018

After launching XC60 in India, Volvo is all geared up to launch the new XC40 in the country. It is expected to be launched in the mid 2018 and is already been listed on company’s official website.

XC40 is the smallest SUV in the range of Volvo’s XC series. The car features a front grille which is similar to the newly launched XC60. In the rear, the car sports a windshield and an integrated roof spoiler along with L-shaped LED lamps.

Talking about its interior, the dashboard is identical to the most of the SUVs in the range. It has a sporty look steering wheel with control buttons. In the middle, it houses a huge vertical touchscreen infotainment system along with vertical AC vents.

As per latest reports, XC40 is expected to arrive in diesel and petrol variants in India. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which produces 188bhp of power @4000rpm. And 2.0-litre petrol 4-cylinder petrol engine which can churn power of 247bhp @5500rpm.

It is expected to arrive at a price tag of Rs 37-42 lakh and will be in direct competition with Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
