Harley-Davidson has unveiled the new X440T in partnership with Hero MotoCorp ahead of the motorcycle's official launch. The X440T, which belongs to the X440 family, will be officially rolled out this weekend. It carries forward several mechanicals and components but with a handful of notable changes.
Harley-Davidson X440T: What's New?
The revised rear section of the Harley-Davidson X440T gives it a distinct appearance with a longer, sleeker tail cowl. The seat has also received an upgrade, with the pillion now getting chunkier grab handles. The rear fender is different, and the tail is noticeably longer.
The X440T comes in four colour options - Black, Red, White and Blue. The motorcycle also gets new ‘Harley-Davidson X440T’ graphics, along with chequered-flag style designs on the side panels. The front still looks familiar, but the X440T adds a few new details like black-painted front fenders and bar-end mirrors.
Harley-Davidson X440T: Expected hardware
Talking about the hardware, the X440T still uses the X440’s 440 cc single-cylinder, air-oil cooled motor, matched with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. On the X440, this setup produces 27 hp and 38 Nm, but for the X440T, it’s likely to get a slightly different tune to better fit the feel of the new version.
The trellis frame stays the same, and the suspension setup is likely unchanged too. It should still come with the 43 mm USD front forks and the twin rear shocks with 7-step preload adjustment.
Harley-Davidson X440T: Expected features
It will likely use the same 3.5-inch round TFT screen found on the X440, along with smartphone connectivity and built-in navigation. The big change could be the introduction of ride-by-wire, which may also bring features like different riding modes and traction control. Dual-channel ABS is still expected to come as standard.
